A simple Mac app that lets you view, filter, and copy User Defaults on your system. The viewer is not limited to a single bundle identifier, this app can see all defaults.
FAQ
- Why did you make this app?
I was working on supporting dynamic text for my iPad and Mac app Muse. iOS has built in support for the system's dynamic font size, but macOS does not. The system text size is stored inUIPreferredContentSizeCategoryName, but I didn't know that at the time. I wanted an app like this so I could see which system user defaults were changing as I changed the size in the Settings panel. - Why does it ask to read my Apple Music / some random app / stuff?
This app attempts to fetch all User Defaults in your system. Accessing some of these may present an alert to you to authorize access. It's ok to choose to deny access if you don't want to see that app's User Defaults. - How come this app is so great?
It sure is, isn't it! - Why did you make this?
I was building a macOS app where I wanted to react to the system'sUIPreferredContentSizeCategoryNamedefault, but I didn't yet know what the key was. I wished there was an easy way to watch User Defaults while i toggled the text size setting in System Settings.
